Cat ...

... I have been thinking for some time to write something about cat. There are may saying, in many cultures  that relates cat with intelligence, bad, cunning, unpredictable behaviour, and the list go on... but we human can't just live without them,.. or ignore them...
From being worshipped as god during Pharaoh ruling..... to being massacred by European during dark ages.... believed to be partner of devil and witches.. This action actually worsened the black death plagued, because without the cat, the population of the rats (the plague carrier) increase...
Cat has been living with us, inside our houses.. on the roof top... just outside the windows..  they never been far from us.. either we like or dislike them...

  • "In a cat's eye, all things belong to cats." - English proverb
  • "Curiosity killed the cat, Satisfaction brought it back!" - English Proverb
  • "Thousands of years ago, cats were worshipped as gods. Cats have never forgotten this." - Anonymous
  • A cat has absolute emotional honesty: human beings, for one reason or another, may hide their feelings, but a cat does not. - Ernest Hemingway
  • If you want to write, keep cats. - Aldous Huxley
  • "No matter how much cats fight, there always seems to be plenty of kittens." -Abraham Lincoln
  • You see, wire telegraph is a kind of a very, very long cat. You pull his tail in New York and his head is meowing in Los Angeles. Do you understand this? And radio operates exactly the same way: you send signals here, they receive them there. The only difference is that there is no cat. - Albert Einstein, when asked to describe radio
  • "As every cat owner knows, nobody owns a cat." - Ellen Perry Berkeley

The following youtube link show that cat, ... is beyond our comprehension...and make us laugh...

Note: the photo is my late cat... actually i found them (2 kittens) last year, on the 1st Ramadan 1428H... in front of my kampung house., hiding among the bushes...I guess the kittens is abandoned or unwanted.... Since then, the cats have been living with us... and we like them.. a few month ago, when I call my mother back home, she mentioned that the male cat has died, run over by lorry in front of the house.
.... Luqman and I been fighting what's the best name for the male cat..  we call him.. "Jerboa".. referring to the new species of desert mouselike animal found in Africa during that time.. we also call him.. "Hemo-Hemo" after the cat character in famous children Ninja cartoon series... and we also call him.. Polar bear.. due to his look... My mother simply name him... Ujang..

Salam Wan,
Perhaps you should just get kampung cat... more resilient to diseases and less hassle to adopt as pet.

Luckily the my other cat survive and recently has kitten.. Luqman and I named it "macan tutul", as for "Tai Lung" in Kungfu Panda movie...

p.s. If you want to write, have cat

A'kum,

I've read somewhere before that say if you want to know the art of relaxation, study the cat.

I have observed how my cat sleep. It can sleep better on top of a pile of newspaper then human do in 5000 ringgit bed.

Cat is also quite a resilient creature. When they are sick, they close the eyes and lay still. They do not worry like us.

I got a new cat recently, a female cat. My son gave her the name Kutty. I got this problem that she like to sneak inside the house. I found out she had one weakness. She is terrified of getting a bath.

So, I make her an offer she cannot refuse. Enter the house, then I gave u a bath. She do not understand it at first, but after a few times taking bath after sneaking in, she finally understood. She never enter the house since.

I go to the link below quite often to get myself laughing.

Salam Syed,

I still remember last time you have to send a cat due to a road mishaps, to a veterinarian. And the medical bill is a bomb. Perhaps they have four legs instead of two, like us.

People say.....'we don't own cat, they stay as they like, leave as they wish, and return as they want'....
